So I've been drawing for years, I've just graduated from Art School, and I've only just now decided to focus heavily on "fundamentals". So I'm going to partake in John K.'s $100,000 animation drawing course. (har har) And since it's never a good idea to have only one "teacher" I'm supplementing it with Andrew Loomis' "Figure Drawing for all its Worth". So these pictures that follow are the results of about 2 days study. (Tuesday and Friday).
Some thoughts on the process:
I'm skeptical as to how much use copying straight out of a book is. Beside simply ingraining ideas of proper construction into the process of drawing. It seems to me there is a danger here: the inability to create for yourself. That by copying straight from a book, you become "stuck" doing the same drawing over and over. Who knows.
