More Stuff from work

We are apparently in the process of making the front room at work more interesting. Here are a few of my ideas. Trying to go for something interesting, that can be created in the real world and installed on a wall:

Work Stuff

A few things from work:

Building Signage
Vehicle Wrap
A vehicle wrap I was responsible for. Flames had to have backgrounds removed, the red of the truck had to be matched. Unfortunately, the printer was unable to get an exact match, but its fairly close.
Maximallism
A fun little experiment, nothing to complex, just illustrator.

Some more things

A few more things I've been playing around with:

This clown thing is ridiculous, I know, but I thought it was funny. Learned how to use a combination of photoshop and illustrator to get relatively clean line work.

This was for Illustration Friday, but I missed the deadline. Illustrator/photoshop combo.

Here is the animated logo, its not quite done, I have a few tweaks, but I'm posting it for now. Maya for the die, and a combination of photoshop, illustrator, and after effects for everything else. Pretty simple stuff, but it looks cool. And thats all that really matters right?

Intern work

I've been busy interning at a comic book publishing company called Studio 407 in Marina Del Rey, mostly doing lettering, color correction and assembly. I've worked on a number of comics: Hybrid, Golem and Shadow Chronicles as well as a few others. Everything is lettered in Illustrator, and then assembled for print in InDesign, so I have gotten to know those programs fairly well.

In addition to that, I have been helping them overhaul their website, www.studio-407.com. Chad the creative director, designed mockups for the site, and I have been implementing his design in Flash. I've been focusing on making it friendly on the backend, so that it is easy to update when needed, and I've been learning quite a few new things in Flash. Unfortunately, its fairly slow at the moment, and I'd like to figure out how to speed it up.

Several more websites I've worked on:
Havoc Brigade (Flash Animation)
Demon Squad (Flash Animation)
Studio 407 news (Dreamweaver)

On my own, I've got a few animation exercises that I hope to have complete by the end of the month. As well as any number of still pieces. Ellen and I also have two short films cooking.

(fun)damentals part deux

Week two! This is getting awfully hairy, its still staying relatively fun though...
